As part of our extensive 1,000-hour program, students must complete hands-on practical experience by working on the general public. Students will spend time testing their massage techniques, communication skills, documentation and general routines before they are officially ready. The student clinic is their chance to demonstrate what they've learned in our massage therapy school in Selah, WA.
Student Clinic Hours are as follows:
Our massage treatment rooms are equipped with comfortable heated massage tables, dimmed indirect lighting and relaxing music. We try to maintain a quiet, professional atmosphere for all our clients. Upon arrival, you will be asked to turn off your cell phone.
During our student clinics, the students are under the strict supervision of state-licensed instructors. This is a learning activity for our students. Clients are asked to complete an accurate health intake form before their session and review it with their student therapist-discussing any present health concerns and answering general questions.
During the session the clients will be asked about a variety of topics, such as pressure of touch. After the massage, the client will be asked to complete a feedback form so that the student may learn and grow from their comments and suggestions. The feedback is also helpful to the instructors to help them know how the students are doing.
A reminder to our clients: we are a state-licensed school. We do not practice anything unethical or illegal at this facility, and we do not tolerate inappropriate language, actions or solicitation of any kind on these premises. Inappropriate client behavior will immediately end your session and may result in the school notifying the authorities. Topical massage products used in the school, in the form of massage lotion, oil or gel do NOT contain cannabis. Clients cannot bring any type of topical product onto the premises to be used during their student massage session.
A 24-hour cancellation notice is appreciated.
